Yara Opens Two New Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Terminals in California and Florida

TAMPA, FL, May 5, 2014 -- Yara North America Inc., the world's largest Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) producer, today announced the opening of two new DEF terminals as part of its continued investment and expansion in North America. The addition of the Stockton, California storage facility, alongside its existing facility at Port Hueneme, means that Yara has the largest DEF storage capacity on the West Coast. Its new large-scale DEF storage facility in Tampa, Florida is the first in the state.

Yara Begins Domestic Diesel Exhaust Fluid Production and Distribution at Canadian Plant

TAMPA, Fla., July 15, 2013 -- Yara North America Inc., the world's largest Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) producer, today announced the launch of new DEF production and distribution capabilities at its plant in Belle Plaine, Canada. The news follows the successful completion of the first DEF shipments under the Air1® brand earlier this month. The plant, located in the heart of the Canadian prairies, will increase Yara’s capacity to supply fleets and retailers in the Midwestern U.S., a crucial transportation hub, as well as throughout Canada.

Yara Expands Storage Capacity with Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Terminal Opening in Chesapeake, Va.

Tampa, Fla., May 13, 2013 – Yara North America Inc., the world’s largest Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) producer, today announced the opening of a new storage terminal in Chesapeake, Va.  The fully operational storage facility will provide fleets and retail outlets throughout the Mid-Atlantic region increased access to Air1® DEF, an operating fluid used by diesel-powered vehicles equipped with selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology to meet EPA 2010 emissions regulations.

Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Purchase Agreement Secured Between Rentech Nitrogen And Yara International For Exclusive Distribution Of Liquid Urea Under Yara’s Air1® Brand

Los Angeles, CA, July 23, 2012 – Today Rentech Nitrogen, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rentech Nitrogen Partners, L.P. (NYSE: RNF), and Yara North America Inc., the world’s largest Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) producer, announced that they have entered into a long-term agreement for the exclusive rights to purchase and distribute the DEF produced at the Rentech Nitrogen facility in East Dubuque, Ill.IL under Yara’s Air1® brand.  Air1 DEF, a non-toxic solution that transforms harmful NOx emissions from heavy-duty diesel-powered vehicles into harmless water vapor and nitrogen, is the operating fluid used with SCR technology to comply with the EPA’s 2010 emissions standards.

Scania chooses Yara as its global AdBlue supplier

Oslo (2012-02-02): Yara International and Scania today announced cooperation in AdBlue supply on several continents. AdBlue is a solution that works with nitrogen oxide reducing catalytic converters to lower harmful emissions from trucks. This is the first ever agreement signed at global level for the aftermarket between a heavy duty truck manufacturer and an AdBlue supplier reflecting new air quality legislations around the world.

Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Mobile Locator Application For Android Devices Launched By Yara's Air1 DEF Brand

Tampa, Fla. October 5, 2011 – Today Yara, the world’s largest diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) producer, launched the first ever DEF mobile locator application for Android mobile devices. Following the recent success of the Air1® DEF Mobile Locator app for iPhone, Yara’s Air1 app for Android will use GPS technology to identify the retail outlets closest to a driver’s location to make finding DEF easier for even more drivers who are out on the road. The Air1® DEF Mobile Locator app, the official application of Air1, is now available for free from the Android Market or the iTunes app store using the search term DEF.
